Server Engineer/Server Analyst/Server Administrator

Based in Bath (Currently homeworking)

Working for one of the biggest employers in the area, our market leading e-commerce client (whilst currently homeworking) are based in a stunning period building with fantastic views and within easy commute of both Bristol & Bath, are looking for a new team member for their Server Team who will provide specialist technical knowledge for the day to day administration, maintenance and development of server team services to meet the needs of the business.

This is a permanent role working in the Server Team. The role will be carrying out all the standard day-to-day support calls as well as picking up some project work. Daily duties may include server patching, management of customer support calls, daily server checks, hardware replacements, anti-virus server management, significant amounts of in depth Active Directory and file permission work.

About you

With a few years' server administration under your belt, you will need experience of working with customer call management software, taking ownership of calls, updating them regularly and resolving them to keep numbers in the team under control. Background experience working in a server support role, administering systems such as anti-virus, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VMware and file share permissions. Excellent customer service skills are essential, ITIL knowledge and GDPR knowledge would be beneficial. They are actively working towards Cyber Essentials Plus Accreditation, so any experience in server security including penetration test remediation work would be a big advantage. A good solid grounding in server administration is essential for the role.
