IT Support/Server Administrator

Up to £30,000pa + excellent benefits

Working in a vibrant fast paced and highly collaborative team in the heart of Cheltenham, close to good rail connections and great shops, restaurants and bars, in offices that provide an excellent working environment with open office space; you will be working for a company that values their staff and strive to create and friendly and sociable environment.

Along with the totally refurbed open plan office with state of the art new equipment, great environment & all round lovely company in general, our client are also able & willing to accommodate flexible working as well as part time options for this role and are open to discussing any requirements as and when the time comes.

An opportunity has arisen for an IT Support/Server Administrator to join the team to ensure the availability, capacity and security of the internal & external web and application infrastructure for the company.

On a day to day basis, you will:

  • Monitor the hardware and software that runs their web/app infrastructure
  • Monitor and report on current capacity and performance.
  • Responding, managing & active follow-up of any security risks/security incidents, availability-related incidents including communicate with third parties & technical partners to resolve issues
  • Pro-active diagnosis & correction of faults identified plus liaison with the other internal IT teams to achieve fault resolution
  • Support the development and test teams in planning, implementation and troubleshooting of development releases.
  • Provide support for the change configuration and release management

Successful candidates will have:

  • Good server knowledge inc Windows Server & Web Server/IIS
  • Implementation & Management of Virtualised Infrastructure
  • PowerShell

  • Linux Administration
  • SAN Technologies
  • AWS Experience
  • Load-Balancer Technologies
  • Advanced Scripting Capabilities
