Application Support Analyst

Initial remote working (offices easily commutable from Swindon/Cheltenham/Stroud/Gloucester)

Up to £30k + benefits including Share Options/Scheme + 10% Non-contributory pension amongst other fantastic benefits

Remote working initially with the plan to return to office (2-3 days per week) in line with government guidance, working towards a hybrid model splitting your time between the office and working from home.

Our FTSE100 client is now looking for an Application Support Analyst to join their growing team.

Joining a team of 10 who are central to application management for the business, you will have excellent customer focus, analytical skills as well as knowledge and experience of web based applications and MS SQL server querying experience. The team ensures all applications/services are running smoothly and highly available and you will provide support for calls raised by the users.

This is an excellent opportunity to get trained into cloud computing (AWS) as well as Salesforce and the business will invest heavily in you. These applications are heavily data centric with typically web front ends exposing business submission, client information or management information functions and are critical to the operation and submission of business.

Duties and skills required include:

  • Knowledge and experience of Web based applications
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • MS SQL Server querying experience
  • Ability to rectify problems under difficult or high-pressure circumstances.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with multiple parallel service levels
  • Answering support calls via the IT Ticketing System (ServiceNow), investigation of user issues and managing their subsequent resolution to target SLAs.
  • Routine maintenance of the application and application hosting environments.
  • Supporting the Problem Management team - providing root cause analysis and service outage analysis reporting.
  • Liaison with 3rd party Application support providers
  • Application Capacity Management, performance analysis and optimisation.
  • Documenting and recording change requests
