Infrastructure & Automation Engineer

Up to £40,000pa + excellent benefits

Based in Cheltenham (currently remote)

Our client are now looking for an Infrastructure & Automation Engineer to support the IT Infrastructure and apply Automation/DevOps skills to further innovate and develop in busy service delivery focussed environment.

You should have Windows infrastructure design, administration and automation. Some experience in cloud infrastructure and containerization is also essential.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Support the management of the software development tool
  • Assist in the migration of on-premises Infrastructure to AWS
  • Lead/Support IT automation initiatives
  • Deliver infrastructure as code & automation
  • Provide 3rd Line infrastructure support
  • Support business move to cloud infrastructure

Required Skills:

  • Configuring , maintaining & troubleshooting Microsoft based production systems
  • Experience operating virtual environments (VMWare)
  • Some Automation/Scripting skills - ideally PowerShell
  • Supporting & configuring datacentre technologies such as firewalls, networking, SAN & NAS
  • Using technologies for infrastructure automation and application delivery
  • Experience of working with cloud based services - ideally AWS
